7 Reasons To Go To University

1. Graduates Earn More

In fact over their working lifetime graduates now earn around £150,000 more than non-graduates according to the guardian newspaper.

You are also likely to start on a high wage, with the average starting salary being around £19,000 and up to £35,000 in the right career!

2. The Only Way

Getting a degree is the only way to enter a lot of professions. Degrees in subjects such as law, medicine and architecture are still hard to achieve and are recognised as such by employers. You wouldn't want someone operating on you that hadn't been to university would you?

3. Friends

At university you will probably make the best mates of your life, after all you will be around people that have the same interests as you on your course and living with hundreds of people the same age in halls of residence.

4. Life Skills

Living away from your parents is an eye opener, you will develop tons of life skills and improved confidence that potential employers look for. You will also have responsibility for your own food, bills and money which is something everyone has to learn at some point

5. Socialising

House parties, clubbing, BBQ’s and lazy days in the park. Of course being a student is hard work but you will also never have as much free time, nights out and general good times.

6. Clubs & Societies

Every university has loads of clubs and societies to get involved with, you can take up a new hobby, sport or pastime, join a cause, get fit and more. You will meet people with similair interests and make even more friends (see reason 3!)

7. A Fresh Start

Living in another city is a great opportunity to have a fresh start, break away from secondary school and college cliques and even reinvent yourself. Most people won't get another huge oppertunity to do something new and different, meet as many new people and learn as much again..
